In terms of appearance (your pixeling skills) I think you did a pretty good job! Both the shading and highlight is very smooth, something beginner pixel artists can't achieve. However, the holder thingy (I'm not to familiar with these terms XD) that drops the companion cubes looks to bland. I'm assuming it's made out of metal, so it should have very bright white/gray highlights and smaller dark gray shading to counter it.
In terms of animation, you did a pretty good job. It's not to fast or slow and looks quite well with its repetativeness.
Over all good job! Just keep working on pixeling metal until it looks natural enough
First of all I want to say that I really adore the squishiness of the emote when it's hit by the cube I think it would look better if the emote has a slightly darker outline (including the eyes) at the moment it looks quite similar to the body and i think it should stand out more. I myself would have looped it differently: I would have made it look like that it is always the same cube instead of a new one every time. Maybe like: [link]
